FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Is alcohol allowed?
Renters are allowed to serve alcohol to its guests, and guests are allowed to bring alcohol for consumption. However, the sale and solicitation of donations for alcohol is prohibited within the Pine Grove facility. When the renter serves alcohol or guests bring alcohol for consumption, the renter must obtain Host Liquor Liability insurance coverage and name Pine Grove as an additional insured. A Certificate of Insurance showing proof of coverage is required to be submitted to Pine Grove prior to the rental period. Please review the state of Oregon requirements (https://www.oregon.gov/olcc/lic/pages/special-event-licensing.aspx) for liquor permits.

2. How many people can be seated in the main room at Pine Grove?
The Pine Grove seats 96 people at tables. For meetings and presentations, The Pine Grove seats 140 people. There are 100 chairs available and more can be obtained from other locations.  You will need to set up the chairs and tables: set-up is not a service Pine Grove can provide for you.

3. How many chairs and tables are available?
There are 100 beige cloth padded folding chairs available.
There are 16 tables, 6 feet in length, that each seat 6 people.
There are 8 card tables.

4. Can we take tables and chairs to the beach?
Sorry, but furniture may only be used in the building or on our backyard patio.

5. How many plates, matching glasses, and utensils are available?

The kitchen has a variety of cooking utensils and appliances, including two electric ranges (with ovens), a microwave, and a commercial dishwasher.  There are no pots or pans.  

6. How does the sound system work and to what can it be connected?
The Pine Grove has an audio-visual system that is available for your use.  It includes 2 hand-held microphones, 2 lavalier style microphones, two ceiling mounted speakers, a video projector and pull down screen.  We also offer wireless connectivity for you to play your own music.  You may bring your own thumb drive and plug it into the Pine Grove computer (also located in the audio-visual cabinet) and use the mouse and keyboard or a remote/pointer device to access your material.  Also, we have wireless dongle connectors (HDMI and USB-C) which will allow you to project files from your own laptop or tablet.  Our system does not support DVDs. 

There are full user instructions posted on the inside door of the audio-visual cabinet and there is a downloadable version of the instructions here.  We cannot provide an attendant to run the A-V system for you.

5. Where can we park?
Parking is available on the street and in the rear of the lot behind the US Post Office on Laneda Avenue.  This parking lot is within two blocks of the Pine Grove.
