About US |
“Our mission at Pine Grove Community House is to preserve our historic building while providing a welcoming space for all. We support activities that promote social welfare and the common good, striving to stimulate interest in educational, social, and historic affairs. Through social connection, educational programs, and community involvement, we foster a sense of belonging and community spirit." The historic Pine Grove Community House is centrally located in downtown Manzanita and within view and walking distance of the beautiful Oregon coast. It is surrounded by unique and charming markets and shops. The Pine Grove Community Club was founded in Manzanita on June 26, 1928. Five years later, on August 5, 1933, hundreds of people were in Manzanita to celebrate the dedication of the current building as The Pine Grove Community House, Inc. For many years, Pine Grove operated as an informal city hall, the town library, and event venue. It was, and still is, a central hub of activity for the Nehalem Bay community. Since its inception, Pine Grove has been continuously managed by volunteers, we depend on rental revenue and fundraising to keep it alive. We appreciate your patronage and your respect of our historic building. |
